GIS Developer/Analyst | MD

Terms: 3+ month contract to hire

Qualifications

US Citizenship (ONLY)-”SECRET” Clearance required-Active clearance preferred.

Experience

Developing customized mapping products

Implementing/integrating standards for newly created spatial data

Establishing database connections in a web-based environment and working with Remote database Servers

Proficient

ArcGIS software suite to manage, manipulate, query and display geospatial data, perform data processing (conversions, projections, standards)

Development and management of geospatial datasets within an enterprise environment (ESRI ArcSDE, GeoDatabases)

Knowledge

Metadata standards and applying metadata/attribution to spatial datasets of geospatial data standards (SDSFIE, FGDC)

RDBMS data modeling/schemes and the development of spatial and non-spatial tables/databases

Developing SQL statements for complex database queries

USAF GeoBase program or other Federal agencies and their geospatial programs (DoD, FEMA

Responsibilities

Assist GIO w/spt efforts including working w/CAT leadership, FAMs, and NGB JOC to collect, document, and analyze geo requirements

GIS analyst will assist GIO w/: |Cartographic map development & generation of mapping documents|Data collections, migrations, and transformations to spatial data standards|Rqmts capture, analysis and dvlpmnt of GIO Geospatial Requirements Definition Process documentation|Web mapping services dvlpmnt and integration for web-based mapping capabilities Customer integration into ANG GIO Geospatial Enterprise Architecture GIS analyst duties w/in ANG CAT: |Respond to requests to produce geo output: plotting hardcopy maps/graphics, generating softcopy display maps, graphs, charts, preparing presentation mtls, administering & managing geo applications for presentation purposes|Integrating geo capabilities & resources w/in ANG CAT workflows and business processes|Respond to requests for providing geo data from various sources such as NGB, ARNG
