Terms: 3+ month contract to hire
Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required for this position. Active SECRET clearance from the US Government is a plus.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography, or related field; MA/MS is a plus.
- Candidates must have 6 – 10 years of experience in a related field, specifically in implementing Enterprise GIS and/or GeoBase. Required Computer skills include: ESRI-based or other GIS software including: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS (all levels), ArcIMS, ArSDE, ArcObjects, and Oracle.
- Spatial Data Standards include: Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE), Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC), and Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM).
Responsibilities
- Develop and educate stakeholders on capabilities of the USAF GeoBase program.
- Develop and deploy a standard data model using the SDSFIE.
- Coordinate and manage the integration of enterprise GIS system with the existing systems.
- Update and manage GeoBase Enterprise architecture.
- Work with software vendors to negotiate license agreements.
- Coordinate and provide education and outreach.
- Perform program management reviews.
- Ideally, have experience administering web-based GIS systems using ArcGIS Server, IIS 6.0, ArcSDE/IMS, relational databases including Oracle and/or SQL Server, etc.
- Experience with PKI certificate based security is a plus.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to create effective written documentation, both technical and non-technical, is key.
- Have achieved a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering from an accredited college.
